Meet Porsha Winters, skilled litigator, knowledgeable legal researcher and dedicated community service professional, providing our clients with expert, highly energetic, legal representation.

Porsha comes to Grant Law, LLC with civil litigation experience gained in large and small law firms in Chicago. Porsha also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Christopher Yates in Kent County, Michigan and the Honorable Elizabeth Loredo-Rivera in Cook County, Illinois. In 2017, Porsha contributed to an article published in DRI’s monthly magazine, For the Defense.

Porsha is a native of Chicago. Her education afforded her the opportunity to live in Maine, North Carolina, Georgia, and Indiana. She also traveled to Spain, Panama, and Romania in the pursuit of cultural studies.

Community Involvement

Porsha is a volunteer for the Edward J. Lewis II’s Lawyers in the Classroom Program, where she leads interactive lessons with middle schoolers in Chicago Public Schools on the topics of the U.S. Constitution, our legal system and civic responsibilities. She also served as a Diversity Clerk for the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.


Porsha received her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Valparaiso University School of Law, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She is a recipient of the Monsanto Corporation Scholarship, and she graduated from law school with honors, cum laude. While earning her law degree, Porsha was named a Deans’ Fellow, worked as a Teaching Assistant and Legal Research Assistant, and was a Note Writer for Valparaiso University’s Law Review.

Prior to law school, Porsha earned her Master of Studies in Law (MSL) degree from Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Cultural Studies from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
